Random thoughts #3, these could have been Tweets addition

Do you every find yourself watching commercials and thinking to yourself, man I could really use a ShamWow? Yeah, me neither.

My Christmas tree doesn't smell like a Christmas tree. Isn't that the whole point of having a live tree? I got jipped.

I am not a cold weather person. I have been cold for five days straight. I could never live in Alaska or Canada or those places where it is cold all dang year.

My friend Mo, over at One Ping Only is doing a big holiday giveaway. Basically for each comment she gets, she is giving a dollar to a great charity. Please go over HERE and let her know you stopped by. There is also a chance to win a Starbucks gift card.

Morgan has been on Adderall for a week now. I'm noticing less bouncing, more concentration and the ability to finish a thought. Side effect wise, she's a bit more emotional. We'll see.

Logan and I are going to have a date night this weekend. We need movie ideas. Neither of us know what has been out, in say the last ten months. Any ideas? Please don't say Twilight.

Thursday is the great Bloggy holiday card exchange of 2008. Want more info? Go visit Meghan and get all the details. Basically a bunch of us will be posting our holiday cards on the same day. Easier and cheaper than trying to send them to each other. Everyone is welcome.

OMG: "Please don't say Twilight." This made me snort-laugh.

Adderall is poison. How can you in good conscious give this to your child? There are many natural ways to assist children without poisoning them. You should look at those first.

First: Hi Anonymous! Why don't you go take a long walk off a short pier? You don't know what the family's situation is, don't judge. And if you're going to judge, have the guts to put your name on your little bits of nastiness.

Issa - I can't recommend Four Christmases because I didn't enjoy it much. I'd like to see The Day the Earth Stood Still, because that looks good.

Thanks for promoting my donation drive, I really appreciate it.

Oh my...the guy in that ShamWow commercial reminds me of a Heroin addict.

Mine smelled nice for three days. Now, nothin'.

I consider Denver a cold weather city.

Mo rocks.

Glad it's working on the bouncing & concentration...you should probably just get used to the emotions as she gets older, anyway! :0)

Movies? I'm no help there.

Yay for Thursday! I take it I don't need to remind you again? :0)

OH- and to anonymous - WTF, dude? Passive Aggressive, much? Get a life of your own and let other people live theirs.

Oh my freakin' heck. I'm not even going there because it would be the longest comment ever. Some people. Sigh.

Movies? What are those? I would love to recommend, but...um...clueless. Have fun.

Oh my. Anonymous, lighten up. Me thinks you might be projecting a bit. Mo's exactly right - you don't know the whole situation, and it's not your child.

I can only smell our Christmas tree when I stand right beside it and take a deep sniff. I thought it would smell more too.

Movies: I really want to see Seven Pounds with Will Smith, but I don't know too much about it. If I think of more ideas, I'll let you know.

Anon, I've taken Adderal. I've also taken a vitamin supplement instead and it worked for me. So I chose from those two how I'd prefer to be treated. I've also taken many other "drugs". I've taken Tylenol, too. Oh, and pain meds of all varieties. As have my children. And guess what? That? None of your concern. It is still legal to go either route and so long as it is? You have NO right to impose.

My kid presently has an ear infection. Hey, there are those that would say an antibiotic is poison and then there are those that say no antibiotic is abusive. One of my children had Epilepsy and had to take anti psychotics three times a day. Had she not taken them she would have stayed in the ICU unable to stop having seizures. There are those who would say I was neglectful for not trying a change in her foods. Then there are those that would put me in jail for denying her the ability to take those drugs. But luckily I still have the option to CHOOSE.

As a parent, and you probably are one or you wouldn't have found a Mom blog, you should respect that EVERY parent and person deserves the CHOICE. Because when you deprive one person freedom of choice you set a president for ALL to be denied a choice.

If you are actually privy to the details of Pharma vs Homeo, you'd know that FDA and others hope to strip us ALL of those rights. (codex alimentarius...look it up) I disagree with the idea that someone else should be able to choose the course of my family's medical treatment. And from your rude comment I can only surmise that you would support "natural" but how would you like it if those nay sayers deem that it as "neglect" or "poison" as FDA would like us to believe? Then what? How will you stare down your nose then? And if we don't support each other in defending our rights? What happens the day we no longer have any? Will you THEN be happy? Will Issa THEN be free to choo... Wait, we just proved she would not, didn't we?

Here's the rub. This here is still, in theory, a free country. And parents have the RIGHT to CHOOSE for themselves the course of treatment.

I will say again so hopefully you'll realize what you just said. Someone who would take EITHER choice off the table for another is asking for THEIR choices to be limited or even removed as well. Who the hell do you think you are trying to impose your ideology on anyone else?

You don't know Issa. I do know her and I feel she has looked into her options and is acting in what is in the best interest of her children and family. Further, she has a doctor that SHE chose to guide her so your random anon comments are unwarranted. And since, presumably, we are still allowed to do pick our medical care? Maybe you should just mind your own damned business. Or, better yet? Support her freedom so that yours will stay safe, too.

It's sad that in this time of our lives we have to be reminded of this.

I think "ANONYMOUS" (chicken BA-ALK!) can pretty much suck it.

There. Not as eloquently put as Kim, but still.
